ROSE GARTH GUEST  HOUSE

& TEA ROOMS

A warm welcome awaits you

Rose Garth is situated in the centre of the village of  Ravenglass.        It  is a small family run Tea Room and offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation     with     traditional Cumbrian hospitality.

Ravenglass, for many years the haunt of smugglers, is one of Cumbria's  best kept secrets.   It's history goes back to  Roman times and boasts a fine Roman Bath House.   Up to 250 years ago it was a thriving port.   The village is built on the estuary of three rivers.   Across the far side is a bird sanctuary.

Ravenglass   is the only coastal village within the  Lake District National Park.   The village is ideally situated for touring the western lakes and is only a few miles from Scafell Pike and    Wastwater, England's highest peak and deepest lake.

The main attractions in the area are the Eskdale and  Ravenglass Railway and Muncaster Castle.

Ravenglass is the ideal  spot for hill walkers, ramblers,   bird watchers, and railway enthusiasts alike, there is something for everyone.
